What a custom course can be
A few examples, to show the range. Yours can be anything in Sanskrit, Hindi or Vedic Maths.
- A yoga teacher who wants to read the Yoga Sūtras in Sanskrit and chant the invocations correctly

Who it’s for

From age 5, as with the other children’s courses. For a child, a parent fills in the form and reviews the plan.
👥 On your own, or your group
One to one, or bring family or friends. Everyone learns from the same plan, and each person pays the per-person rate.
📚 Any mix of subjects
Sanskrit, Hindi and Vedic Maths, alone or combined in one course.
🌍 Online or in person
Online from wherever you are, at times arranged around your time zone. For children in Classes 1 to 10, also in person at Ms. Parikh’s home in Borivali West, afternoons 2 to 6 pm. Adults learn online.
What it costs
One price for one hour of live teaching. It comes down as the group grows.
Standard rates, per person, per hour. At least 10 sessions, paid as you go. The lesson plan is free.
You pay per session, as you go. A custom course is at least 10 sessions, so there is time to cover what your plan sets out; beyond that, it runs as long as your plan needs. The plan can be adjusted along the way, with Ms. Parikh.
One session is one hour. Every session is live, taught by Ms. Parikh herself from the plan you approved. How often you meet is arranged with you, around your timetable and ours.
In person at Borivali West
For children in Classes 1 to 10. A custom course taught at Ms. Parikh’s home uses the home-tuition rates, in rupees, per 60-minute session, per person. The same 10-session minimum applies.

The person who writes your plan teaches it
A school or an app teaches the same course to everyone. Here, Ms. Ishita Parikh plans and teaches every class herself. She holds an MA (Acharya) in Sanskrit from the Central Sanskrit University, an NPTEL “Elite” certification in spoken Sanskrit from IIT Kharagpur, two teacher-training diplomas for young children, and a Vedic Maths teachers’ qualification, and she taught in Mumbai schools for five years.
Questions people ask
How is a custom course different from your regular courses?
A regular course follows a set syllabus. A custom course follows a plan written for you, from the topics you name, and you approve it before it starts. It is taught by the same teacher, Ms. Ishita Parikh, at the same rates.
Is the lesson plan really free? Do I have to enrol?
Yes, it is free, and there is no obligation. If the plan is not quite what you want, ask for changes, or simply do not go ahead.
How long does the lesson plan take?
Within two days of your enquiry reaching us. It arrives by email as a Word or PDF file, setting out the goal, what each session covers, the materials and how progress is checked.
What does a custom course cost?
The standard rates, per person, per 60-minute session: ₹399 or $15 one to one; ₹250 or $12 each for two or three of you; ₹190 or $9 each for four or more. In person at Borivali West the home-tuition rates apply, in rupees. You pay per session as you go, with nothing upfront.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, 10 sessions, so there is time to cover what the plan sets out. Beyond that, the course runs as long as your plan needs, and the pace is agreed with you.
Can I combine Sanskrit, Hindi and Vedic Maths?
Yes. A custom course can be one subject or any mix of the three, for example Sanskrit and Hindi side by side, or shlokas and Hindi reading for a child.
Can I bring my own group?
Yes. Family or friends can learn together from the same plan. Each person pays the per-person rate for the group size.
Can my child do a custom course?
Yes, from age 5, as with the other children’s courses. A parent fills in the form and reviews the plan.
Online or in person?
Online, for anyone, from wherever you are, with class times arranged around your time zone. In person at Ms. Parikh’s home in Borivali West, Mumbai, for children in Classes 1 to 10, in the afternoons between 2 pm and 6 pm. Adults take a custom course online.
Can the plan change once we start?
Yes. If something needs more time, or a new topic comes up, the plan is adjusted with Ms. Parikh as you go.
